My Favourite Expense Tracking & Money Management Tool

UPDATE: September 24th, 2020:

Before I was using and recommending Tiller, but it looks like they may have discontinued providing their service to Canadians.

Over the past couple weeks I've been having issues with my bank account syncing with them, and a couple listeners of the podcast have told me that they now found some verbiage on the Tiller site about how now only US banks are being supported.

I've reached out to Tiller to have them confirm this. So, for now, I can't recommend Tiller since it's clearly not working for me here in Canada. This is too bad as when it was working, I absolutely loved it.

Looks like I have to start researching some alternatives to Tiller that are compatible for Canadians.

I'll post some new content once I do this research and I'll tell you what I choose. In the meantime, if you found a similar service that is working well for you, please tell me in the comments below!!!

Hi,

I followed your link to the Tiller website and in their FAQs, they state that Tiller Money is currently for US banks only.
Why would you recommend an app that doesn’t deal with Canadian funds??

  Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I actually do use Tiller weekly, but lately I have been getting sync issues with my bank. Your message got me thinking that it looks like they may have discontinued their service for Canadians. I’ve reached out to them today and am waiting to hear back, so see if they can confirm this.
  
  Again, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Looks like I have to find a new provider and revamp the guide. Sorry about the trouble, they didn’t tell me anything about this so it’s frustrating that I had to learn about it in this way.
  
  Anyway, I’ll be sure to post some new content on my research once I find a better alternative specifically for Canadians.
